Our boards are made from Knysna Blackwood which is sustainably sourced directly from a sawmill in Knysna where strictly monitored harvesting of indigenous hardwoods is permitted.

Now that you have purchase one of our beautiful cutting boards it is very important to care for it and maintain it. We have a few food safe products that will do the trick. It is important to remember that wood is porous which means that even though it is hard to see it absorbs water and other liquids you spill on it. Treating your cutting board with our NK Board Care Products will ensure that it does not absorb any liquids. Please do not use any types of cooking oils on your boards (i.e. olive oil, vegetable oil or coconut oil) as they will go rancid.
